Project description
KD AI Library is a personal project born from the difficulty of finding and comparing AI tools in a crowded market. The goal was to create a structured library where users can discover tools by category, task, and real reviews.
Timeline
Approximately three months from problem definition through prototyping, iteration on filters and search, and ongoing optimization.
Background
Existing directories were either too broad or too shallow. I identified a gap for task-oriented discovery with clearer tagging, filters, and comparison views.
Process
Detecting the Problem
Interviewed potential users and mapped how they currently discover AI tools — mostly through social posts and fragmented lists without consistent metadata.
Design & Prototyping
Built Figma prototypes for homepage discovery, category browsing, and individual tool pages with review summaries.
Iteration
Refined tag systems and task-based filters so users could narrow results by use case rather than only by tool name.
Testing & Optimization
Continued testing login flows and profile features to support saved tools and personalized recommendations.
